Buddleja tsetangensis is very rare in cultivation. The pale flowers are borne in spring. The species is not fully hardy and best grown in a pot and provided with winter protection.
History
B. tsetangensis was found and collected in 1924 by Frank Kingdon-Ward from Tibet in the Eastern Himalayas. The hybrid was named by the English botanist Cecil Victor Boley Marquand.
The hybrid occurs naturally at elevations of 3000-3600m as a bushy tree up to 5m tall on cliffs, gravel beds and rocky places.
