Pink Spread

B.Pink Spread’ has a compact open spreading habit with light green foliage and is easily distinguished by its eye catching panicles of slender cerise pink flowers

Takes a year or so to establish .

 

 History

A Dutch cultivar of unknown origin. If anyone is able to provide any information on the origin please contact us.

 

  • Flower Colour: Cerise pink, slender blooms
  • Habit: Compact
  • Eventual height: 100-120cm (3-4ft) Spread: 100-150cm (3-5ft)
  • Hardiness: Very hardy - 20°C USDA zones 5-9
  • Leaf colour: Medium greyish green
  • Flowering: Very floriferous. The flowers are 15-20cm (6-8") in length
  • Fragrance: Scented
  • Situation: Prefers a sunny position
  • Wildlife: Good for bees and butterflies
  • Later in the year some close up images of the flowers and leaves will be added along with a botanical description.

AWARD OF GARDEN MERIT

15 Buddleja were awarded an AGM  at the 2008-10 Wisley Trial.  It was mainly the  Buddleja davidii that were judged but we have many others in our 160+ collection which are worthy winners.
