Another of the Butterfly series, B. Marbled White is a compact shrub more so than B. Buzz™ Ivory with pale green leaves.

The flowers are long and creamy white with orange eyes

The photos clearly show secondary small leaves (bracts) between the flowers.

 History

Buddleja ‘Markeep’ (selling name MARBLED WHITE) is a cultivar raised by Elizabeth Keep in her garden after her retirement from East Malling Research Station in 1983. Elizabeth’s main objective was to breed shorter cultivars with a range of colours.

Elizabeth produced a series of cultivars which were all named after British butterflies.

• Hardiness: Very hardy - 20°C USDA zones 5-9
• Leaf colour: Pale green

• Situation: Prefers a sunny position
• Wildlife: Good for bees and butterflies
